The other day I was watching my favourite Indian news channel NDTV and I got shocked to learn that British TV star Jade Goody was couple of hours away from her death. Jade Goody is better known for her racial remarks against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty in TV Reality Show Big Brother. 28 year old Goody is fighting with terminal cancer and that it’s now a matter of hours and that her health has deteriorated dramatically.
Having done the reality shows she wants to make her death also look real that is why Jade Goody has given consent to the TV to make a film on her death. OK! magazine has also paid a tribute to her before her death. Some of the national magazines have criticised the magazine as she is still alive but the magazine staff says in its defence that the magazine contains Jade’s amazing life and some of the extraordinary words of the star.
Moreover the family of the star has pledged a support to the magazine. Jade is living her last few days at her residence with her husband and two sons. She does not wish her sons to see her dying. She only wants her husband to be with her all the time. The doctors are amazed that even during the last days of her life she is showing lots of courage at her deathbed. She has managed to see the sunset and asked for cans of coke and showed smile on her face which is extraordinary. In her last moments she is surrounded by photos of her family and friends who can not be with her.
In the real sense she is a brave woman and has accepted her impending death. Shilpa Shetty is already in London to meet Jade but their meeting is not possible because of the deteriorating health condition of Jade. Shilpa respects the privacy at this point of time. I believe that Jade has raised awareness everywhere and that life is short sometimes so collectively we humans should avoid arguments and fights on small petty issues because they lead us nowhere. These are not going to make our world more beautiful. May God bless Jade at this crucial time.
