Eliminate Hatred, Says Jessica Gill
BY Asmita Suhasini
jesica

She’s a Human Resource Manager. She watches Bollywood movies and read books in her spare time. She also makes out time to spend sometime with her friends.  She goes out with her close friends. She plans to do her MBA in January next year and likes to chalk out her plans beforehand. She likes to meet her goals on time. The only thing that she doesn’t like is hatred for anyone so she says that she will like to eliminate hatred from mankind and bridge the silences.

Jessica Gill, a Human Resource Manager at Home Depot  believes that life is full of challenges and humans have the ability to overcome their problems. It is not exaggerating to say that Jessica has a long-standing love affair with the books.  After reading Man’s Search For Meaning  by Viktor E Frankl,  long time ago, she realised that the book left an indelible impression on her mind. She still continues to be amazed at the type of life that declares the hardness of life. Talking about the book she says,“ Our hardships in day today life are nothing as compared to the challenges faced by the inmates of the concentration camp. When you read the book you realise that meaning of life is found in small things and that life never ceases to have meaning which is a very positive thought. Born in India and brought up in Calgary, Jessica grew up in a traditional Punjabi family with Punjabi values. Jessica’s inspiration comes  from herself, “  I always strive to be the best that I can and I intend to give my 100 per cent to my work.   We should put our best foot forward to do our best. I love reading when we read books we realise that little can we learn from our own experience. We basically learn more from  books and from different backgrounds. We learn from humanity,”  tells Jessica. Any good advice that you want to share with our readers? “I have taken advice from my parents, mentors, and even books. The best advice would be to  meet your goals. Goals are like street signs that help us to find our way,”

On Internet
Internet has truly become a world market. Internet is very helpful and convenient and the best thing about it is that you can find any information at any point of time, quips Jessica. Slightly irked over the internet use, she points finger at the internet users, especially children.  It has disadvantages also, especially for children because they are so vulnerable.. children can sit the whole day at home and can spend the whole time before the internet. By using this technology more children can  create their own so called ‘happy world’.  The result is social isolation which  is really bad . It can happen that child may stop taking interest in others present at home and the children will not have the abilities to converse with their parents. Therefore, it is important for parents to spend their time with their children.

Movies
I watch films.  For Indian films I like two genres, romance and comedy. Talking about her favourite actress Sushmita Sen she says is incredibly brilliant.

“I really admire Sushmita sen ,  she is strong and intelligent woman.  If I am made God for one day , I will like to eliminate hatred from human hearts,” says Jessica with a confidence in her voice.
